Letting the World See My Vision

Photography is a very big passion with me. I want to capture the world as I see it.

I want very much for the world to see the purity of what I see. I may be putting together some time a collection of images that lead people off into the distance to some point. A snowshoe trail like this is what it is. No one builds or grooms a snowshoe trail. In situations like at Sunnyvale Park on Wausau’s far west side there are no official snowshoe trails. People just go and make one.

That is the richness of snowshoeing. You don’t need a groomed trail to snowshoe. You just need patience and an overwhelming desire to get what little sun the winter season has to offer.

I chose snowshoeing for that simple basic reason; a desire to feel the warmth of sunlight in the middle of winter’s coldest months. It offers that needed escape to quiet solitudes and fine powder snow.

I like to celebrate the seasons. I don’t believe that we should huddle indoors in the colder months. Winter is to be celebrated while we wait for the warmth of Spring.

Spring comes when the ice starts cracking on the creek. The gurgling sound from flowing water is the signal that life is coming back!
